Американский совет научных обществ
Объединяет профессиональные научные организации в области гуманитарных наук (45 обществ в 1993). Содействует проведению исследовательской деятельности, учреждает стипендии [fellowship] и гранты [grant] американским и иностранным исследователям, выступает спонсором Совета по международным исследованиям и обменам (АЙРЕКС) [International Research and Exchange Board (IREX)]. Вносит существенный вклад в развитие научной деятельности американских исследователей, специализирующихся в области изучения Европы и стран Тихоокеанского региона. Основан в 1919. Штаб-квартира в г. Нью-Йорке
